Jensen: Short and sweet tonight guys. This is cute. I hate the watermark though, it's distracting. One of your best photos. I see loner and dirt bag for sure.

Grell: I probably would have guessed the Poor kid more than the Loner. Your face looks a bit to cheerful to be expressing loneliness. Whereas with the Poor kid, it would be the clothes you're wearing with all the holes and tears and having little to no makeup. I do see a School connection, just not the one you suggested.

Doctor: Yeah, I would've said poor shy girl before loner...BUT...guess being poor and shy can make you a loner, eh? xD I dunno. The logo thing is shit! It takes the eye from you. I would've cropped that out before submitting. I think overall you did a good job. The posing is simple, but the subtlety works for you in this shot.

Grell: I can see the connection you're making though probably would have been simpler to just go with the Smoker. Aside from that, nothing really negative to say. I could definitely see him in the bathroom skipping class.

Grell: Damn! How do you fit into those jeans? It has a weird combination of sex appeal and yet still looking cute in the face. Definitely liking this one. Great Job.


Doctor: Joker looks like an old school bad boy type. "Yeah, whatta gonna do 'bout it?" I love this photo and I think you did a nice job. Tink's may not be as strong, but it's still a good choice. And again...dat ass!

Hipsterism. I never did understand hipsterism, but I am sure I'd be one of those hipster kids if I were in high school day.


Of course, you know what I am. I am a jock. One of those cool and popular kids on the sport team. I'm thinking the kung fu team for me, personally.

Grell: This one a definitely an interesting piece looking at the details. Kinda looks like he has a hearing aid. Big fan of the art style. My only nit pick is that I would have loved it if we got to see the whole body and not have it cut a short portion of his body. Aside from that comment. Great Job

Grell: Definitely get the Jock connection right away with the pants. My guess would be Track or Cross-Country. Another amazing round for Team Justice Champions in my opinion. Amazing Job.

Grell: Oooo a budding lesbian romance perhaps? lol. I definitely know what you were going for with this photo without needing to explain it. Definitely wish the conversation bubbles weren't there because it would have been a stronger photo to have it rely on the interaction between the two. Besides that, I think it's a nice photo this round. Good job.

Doctor: I don't mind the text, but I agree with the others. It'd be 10x better without it. I love the connection you have here. Good job.

So this might not be too obvious? Well, aside from the uniforms, but i also think this fits into the like 'bad boys' clique. The group of guys that probably hang out after school and smoke, don't do their homework and has a set table outside for lunch. And of course all the girls secretly find them attractive because of the 'bad boy' shiz. Obviously Shikamaru is the leader of this little gang, which makes him way more cooler

Grell: a Big plus for me is if I can get the connection without needing an explanation. Great photo for this round. I do have small nit picks like I would have loved to see both eyes in this shot. Then there's losing the arms in the photo. However, those are just small minor comments. Definitely like the photo you submitted. great job.

Grell: Group shots are always tricky. It's usually best to crop everyone else out since it causes the eyes to wander. Luckily for you, after my initial eye wander, they go straight back to you. It helps that you're in the foreground of the shot maintaining eye connection to the viewer. I probably wouldn't have guessed Bad Boy, but more of just the Slacker with how unorganized his clothes are. Definitely a good photo for this round. Great job.


Doctor: I love both of these and I'm so glad you did NOT crop Shikamaru's. You are the focus and having them only strengthens your theme connection. I'm admittedly a bigger fan of his this weak than hers and it's because I feel his is flawless while with hers...I don't like that her arms are completely out of site. Great job this week!

Jensen: Short and sweet tonight guys. Geez Peter, playing with knives? It's nice to see you step outside of your comfort realm and give us something unique. I actually like this.

Grell: Jesus! glad I never had to see him at a school. Definitely terrifying but I like that you took a risk with this photo. Even though it's a group photo, you command the attention this this shot. Good job.

Doctor: All reason tells that this should NOT work as a modelling photo, but it somehow DOES! You command the attention, it being black and white adds the necessary fright factor and your face COMMANDS the attention. I think you provided the perfect example of how to make ugly work in this. Now teach your partner. xD
My favorite part of this whole thing btw...is your shadow. lol

Druggies

I think my obsession with showing Alice's diversity might be her downfall in this game, but I can't help myself. I love this picture for this theme, because it not only shows off personality but looks very realistic and modern. Like something straight out of Spring Breakers or Bling Ring.

Jensen: Short and sweet tonight guys. I like how young you look here and the devil may care expression. This reminds me of that movie with the teenagers lol Sugar & Spice lol That's it. Good job. (except the Doctor will say something about that watermark)

Grell: I feel I should like this more than I do. Not a terrible shot, but I feel it comes out in the face. Not very modelesque with the tongue out and one eye close. However I do like that you're really into character with what you're portraying. I also like the art style to this shot. Very conflicted with this photo.

Alice: I figured someone might say something like this. In defence of this photo, I don't think modelesque = pretty. Otherwise you should have eliminated the Joker by now. Cara Delevigne is a perfect example of a gorgeous real model that is known for pulling bizarre faces for the sake of a photoshoot's theme. This photoshoot was about portraying a teenage stereotype and that's what I tried to do.

Jensen: Most models are ugly, they just model very well. Except Karli, she's gorgeous. And Candice lol

Doctor: *glares at that watermark* You guys may not be eliminated by me being so against them, but you should all know...when you have one, I instantly drop you down 2 points on my scores. No exceptions. If it interferes...it drops 2. So you may be fine in the early stages thanks to the others, but I'm sure you'd hate for THAT to be what costs you. Anyhoo...I like where you were going with this. It feels like Ke$ha's origins. lol I totally agree with what Grell was saying though. I think the part where it gets lost from model to just wasted is the mouth. Less Jon Travolta and pull the tongue in just a bit and I think this would've been perfect. As is it just looks like you're belching. lol

Grell: Artistically, I love your shot. The style look amazing here and I get a sense of a tortured soul who really likes the girl. My main critique is that it's not quite modelesque. Half your face is covered and its such a drastic change in age from what we've come to see from you. Definitely an interesting piece though.

Doctor: I feel like with Wolverine, you're making a similar mistake Shikamaru recently made with his culture pic. The camera is zoomed out, causing so much extra space...and you don't command the photo because you're falling into the scene. Your face and claws are the only things even remotely modelesque

Jensen: Short and sweet tonight guys. Very good and unique. Not something I was expecting.

Grell: Definitely getting the theme you were going for in this photo. I'm liking the photo, though it feels like you're falling back into submitting sexy photos. I would have really like to see a wider range by now. Still, it's a good photo for this round.

Doctor: As for Snow, not quite punk but I can see it. Maybe a substyle that focuses on just tattoos. I can't think of a clique for just tats ATM. Too sleepy to think. xD Um. I love the face more than anything here. I love the angles involved and those lashes are to die for. Good job.

Jensen: Short and sweet tonight guys. I like the unique route you went this round. It's nice to see those who step out of their comfort zones and give us something new and exciting.

Jensen: Short and sweet tonight guys. Like I said for Link, only a million times better!!! Love this.


Grell: The quality is a bit lacking in this shot, though its a huge improvement from your photo from last round. As for the theme, I definitely see the connection and it's always nice to see models outside their default clothes.

Grell: I love the quality in this photo and I definitely get the sense that this is a highschooler. Your outfit is gorgeous and unique. No negative comment from me. Amazing Job!


Doctor: Love Zelda's! Didn't expect that at all! Great job! Not as impressed with Link's. I feel like he's flat, the background distracts too much and TBH this isn't punk. Steampunk would be a bit of a stretch, but would've been a better connection.

Clique: Popular/King Bee



I chose this photo as the "populars" for Black Star because of his face and the setting. Black star is leaning back casually on a couch, with an evil smile on his face, while his sheep/minion Tsubaki (aka the king bee's posse) is smiling evilly as well. Being "popular" often has the connotation of using malice and backstabbing to work your way to the top, and I see this evil malice in Black Star. He is the king, he's able to sit on his couch/throne and leer at those beneath him.

Jensen: Short and sweet tonight guys. I see the cockiness and it works well. Good job.

Grell: I'm having a hard time buying the connection to the theme. I'm not sure what it is, but there's something that's not quite clicking with me. It's a bit of a step back in quality from what we saw last round though I like that you're using different types of art styles. Also I feel you having to compete for attention with Tusbaki, but my eyes keep jumping back and forth between the two.

Doctor: I see the cockiness as well, but I don't think it translates the way you say (king bee). I think it's more of a troublemaker than anything. I didn't feel any competition between you and Tsubaki (why aren't you in the elimination area?! HUH?! lol). You own the spotlight. You lose me a bit with the mouth and the star on your face. The first feels unnatural and the second seems to have no point to it.

I understand why they are there too. I just don't overlook or accept them if they interfere with the photo.
