The girl who wants more than anything to be like everyone else...
Although this may be a bit darker than what you were looking for, this completely captures what high school can be for a large majority of people. Unattainable examples of the human body are placed in front of us everyday, and people do the unimaginable to try to measure up to those standards. As the world is full of those with negative self-perceptions, the prevalence of eating disorders in this country are higher than ever. This picture of Ariel represents what so many of those poor souls strive for: to be like those people in the magazines. They'll do anything to fit in... even at the cost of their own health.
"if you look in the mirror and don't like what you see... You can find out first hand what it's like to be me."
It all starts with loving yourself.
*disclaimer-I apologize in advance if this offends anyone. I didn't wanna have to go here, but I also didn't wanna just be basic and go with what everyone else was submitting. Rather than an external representation of the high school experience (goth, popular, nerd, etc.) I went with an internalized concept that people from any of these cliques can experience.*
Jensen: WOW. I am in shock here. I've known girls who looked like this. I'm shocked beyond belief right now. This is really a perfect example of problems that many high school girls suffer from. I love that you're still modeling as well. Your hair is fantastic and your face and expression just speak volumes!! Very good job Ariel!
Rei: This shot was about making a statement and was done in a respectful manner, so I wouldn't fear about any possible offense. I don't fully love the coloring job around your ribs. At first I thought they looked to much like open wounds, but I think they're meant to be gills, which is strange since Ariel's character design doesn't include gills. That aside, this is another fantastic shot. You show off the negative aspects of a disorder commonly associated with high school girls, so I like how you met the theme this round. Your hair still looks glamorous, but I think I would have preferred if that looked as unhealthy as the rest of you. There's something haunting about this shot, too. Overall, great work, once again.
Doctor: *looks and stays quiet*
Hate this look for the Queen, but I guess it shows variety...
Not sure what the exact name for this stereotype is. "Trash" is the word that comes to mind, but we all went to school with this type of girl. The girl who spends more time smoking cigs in front of the school than actually in class. The girl who gets suspended monthly for fighting or showing up to school intoxicated. The girl who's had multiple abortions before graduating dropping out. You know the type, just general gross ratched bitches.
Also how hilarious is the gleam on her boobs?
Jensen: I'm fond of variety and I love that you went outside of your realm for this shoot. It's a good shot. I love the angry expression and the cigarette. It's all a nice touch for the girl who thumbs her nose at education. I dont' really like comparing those who smoke and skip school as trash though. I was one of those people. The outfit and the intoxicated and abortions comment is more fitting for it. Good job Elsa, nice step out your comfort zone.
Doctor: *slaps the cigarette from your hand*
Didn't your mamma ever tell you those will cause cancer!?
I like that we're seeing a new side of you. I feel like you show more sides of you than anyone else does and I'm constantly impressed by it. The one thing in the shot I'm NOT a fan of...are the boobs. They look fake and awkward. Did you stuff in HS?
Rei: I do appreciate you stepping out of your comfort zone for this shoot. Your torso is a little more stumpy than usual, so your proportions are a bit off from your normal character design. I honestly believe in not selling yourself short in any part of your description. Sometimes judges may seem like assholes, but most judges honestly feel bad when they rank or score someone low. Making a statement about hating your own shot only invites the judges to do the same and you risk them feeling more comfortable knocking you a bit lower. That said, I think you've shown off what you were looking to show off this round. I would have liked it if you were able to put a solid label on your girl, but from the description of her, she is someone you'd see in high school and it's sold well. Nice variety, but it lacks a bit of the wow factor we've gotten from you in the past.
Before I was the White Queen, I was a troubled school girl. I was a loner... I had no friends and was often bullied by my classmates, and my family. As a result, after my powers came into fruition, I vowed to become as hard as diamonds.
Jensen: I love this. You look so angry and alone. I love the way you're hugging your book close to you. And also, I love Greg Horn, if anyone didn't know that before, now you do <3
Doctor: I still see the same bitch, BUT I feel the vulnerability. It's like we're seeing the you where it all began. THIS is exactly what I was talking about. MWAH! Keep rocking it. <3
Rei: I have to agree with The Doctor. This is definitely the same bitchy Emma, but we do feel the vulnerability from it. It's a nice change of pace. The setting of a school is fitting considering the theme, but it's how well you portray the high school girl's role that has me loving this shot.
So this photo is of what Harley looked like when she was in school and still going by her real name Harleen Quinzel because as you know Harley didn't become the Harley Quinn she is now until fell in love with the Joker at Arkham where she was working as a psychiatrist.
I see Harleen being that quiet shy girl that everyone picks on because she is always has her head in a book.
As you can see from the pic there is still a few things from Harleen's look that Harley still wears now. The Diamond pattern of her shirt and if you look closely to her purse you can see a Mallet shaped key-chain.
*showed a larger photo later but we have to post what was submitted*
Jensen: Wow, looks like the Joker brought out the sexy in you because you were like a total loser in high school lol I like that because we've seen a lot of sexy, now it's time to see variety. And you've given that. The photo is a tad small for my liking. Your modeling is there but not strong. It's a good job. And I'm glad you took a risk.
Doctor: Not the strongest of posing, but I love its match for the theme and you being out of costume. <3 I also love that we see a new side to you. LOOVVEE IT!
Rei: This shot was a bit underwhelming for me. The posing isn't that great here and the shot just feels so basic. I do like the character design as a change of pace, though. The shot would have been better in the larger size and you could have cropped out the top and bottom parts that had no bearing on the photo itself.
I hope I don't mess up the theme with this photo and please keep an open mind to the connection I made with this photo. I figure I should play up to my strength which is the dark and mystery look. My photo takes on a serious subject matter. I know I'm taking a bit of a gamble with this photo, but hopefully the risk will pay off. that being said
Pregnant Teen

Cropped to get as close to 900x900 as possible
Some people look back and think of their high school years as being pleasant and wish to go back. Howere, there are others who's experience was not all sunshine and rainbows. Highschool is that awkward period of time between adolescences to adulthood. For some people, they have all the time in the world, but there are others that are forced to grow up. I ended up going with this photo because it is such a different tone then what I would imagine seeing from the other models. I feel her face looks gorgeous and I imagine her attire would be very fitting for the theme. For someone who might be trying to hide a pregnancy, they would wear something like a hoodie (granted Morrigan's hoodie is really tight). I really like the arching of the back. Again, I'm hoping my gamble pays off here.
I imagine with the snowy scene and dark setting, it tells a possibly tragic story is it were a teen out there in a storm.
Jensen: Definitely known some pregnant teens in my day. This is good, but one thing that stops it from being great is that your face is basically hidden in the shadows. I know that's on purpose from an artist's standpoint, but for this game, it's kind of needed to see your face. It's a strong pose and a good job.
Doctor: I actually like the mystique you give off with the face. I think we see just enough for what the shot calls for. I say good job on this. I like it.
Rei: The shot is just slightly too large. That said, this is a nice shot. I do like the dark color palette of the shoot. I feel it oddly fitting with your high school girl. This is definitely a different approach this round, but reading what the shoot itself was about and how it was worded, it definitely fits. There's a nice artistic touch to this shoot.
Rapunzel: I'm not sure with this photo at first but I'm going to take a risk. I'm portraying an outcast in high school. This photo highlight the loneliness of an outcast in high school. She feels invisible and no one wants to be friend with her. I'm going with artistic approach for my photo this week.
Jensen: I like this Rapunzel. I love that you look so sullen and lonely. And the background adds so much depth to your loneliness. I wish you were larger but then it would take away from the impact of the loneliness behind you. Very nice job!
Doctor: For ME...this is your best submission yet. I love everything about this. Man this one is going to be hard to judge. The profile is gorgeous.
Rei: This shot is very close to perfect. Literally the only thing I want done differently here is I want to feel a little more sadness in your face. Other than that, it's a beautiful photo, I can see your girl well here, and the angle your head is positioned works. The expression is all that needs to be different.
Sesshomaru was a womanizer in high school.. you can see in the photo that it's very easy for him to get any girl he wanted. They're that easy to fall in love with him. You can't resist that look in his eyes and that body of his.
Jensen: Ahhhhhh Romeo!!! This is HAWT!!! And what I really really like most, is the expressions on both your faces. She is so fucking into you it's unbelievable and you look like "yea baby, you want it" Like she's just another conquest. Great job!!!
Doctor: WE HAVE FORM! lol I tease. I love everything about this and as the guy behind the Doctor... *drools 2.0*
Rei: I love the profile and I love the strong, defined lines here. Oh, and seeing you shirtless isn't half-bad, either. There were definitely womanizers in high school, so it fits the theme, too. Nice shot.
A Hipster: A person or persons, always separate from each other and normal high school cliques, who does not fall into any particular group because they don't follow anyone else's criteria but their own, which is a mystery to most people. They enjoy messing with the latest trends by punking it up, they enjoy mocking the general public for going mainstream, they are known for not fitting anywhere on purpose because they are better than you. Always. They have a chai tea mug permanently attached to their hands. They are cooler than you. Get over it.
Jensen: I really like this!!! I mean, I don't think we've ever seen this side of you ever. It's geeky yet cool. The glasses are outrageous yet you look really cool in them. One thing I'm worried about is the floating coffee cup lol. This is a good comeback from last round, where I thought maybe you were losing your interest in the game.
Toph: The coffee cup is made of earth, Toph is an earth bender.
Doctor: I love the cup and the glasses most. <3 You're someone I would hang with. Especially since you're stealing my old fashion look. I think the posing could be better, but not bad.
Rei: I'm not a big fan of the art style here, but I do like the defined character that is very present here. Your hair looks nice and the fashion is pretty good, too. Just a little on the underwhelming side for me, though.
